CorFest 4 Review!
Although the heat could of about killed me, I always find myself having the best time at Corfest. Located in the tiny town of Connersville (an hour east of Indianapolis) The people of Connersville sure know how to rock. An all day, all ages, BYOB (with ID of course), camping, friends, and some of the best local music...summer just doesn't get better than Corfest!
First band to grace the stage was Soulsik, although BandAid had not arrived at Corfest until after they played. A lot of fans reported that they kicked Corfest off just right.
We arrived during the set of Indianapolis based band ROWCO. Rowco has been friends with BandAid since mid 2008. Rowco has no problems making the fans "head bang".
Following Rowco is I-Exist also hailing from Indianapolis. I-Exist has a great sound. I personally love there stage performance. Rock'n the stage to his favorite band was 6yr old Jaxon Powers. He even had a I-Exist shirt to show everyone who he came to rock with. (Jaxon's dad is guitar player for another Corfest4 band No More Goodbyes) Next up after I-Exist was 7Days Away..The guys of 7DaysAway are amazing, talented musicians. After gracing movie soundtracks in the past 2yrs, the guys are well on their way to making it, and sharing their love, talent, and passion, with us all. Next is New Black Jesus is from Ohio. Had to take peoples opinions on these guys, cause our crew left the area to grab some "grub" But not a single bad comment.
After New Black Jesus, is No More Goodbyes. Indianapolis based band. These guys are unbelievable. Please don't mind me being bias...I am a huge fan of No More Goodbyes(if u didn't already know) with a huge following of all ages, No More Goodbyes is garunteed to rock your face off. (and melt your heart too) Next is Let The Guilty Hang, from West Virginia. These guys are soo great. And I could see the Corfest Crowd was glad they came to Corfest. Following them, is Malignant Beloved also from West Virginia. And Last...But certainly not least: Caden's Cry. All four Corfest's have been headlined by Caden's Cry. Ryan, Becket, Dave and Andy bring in the end of the evening, so that u go home (or to your tent) singing along with some great rock music, and "shake'n that ass" the whole night through.
Over all this Corfest was amazing. Awesome shirt design, great local music, decent priced, all ages, and time to rock out with your friends and drink some beer and pass out in a tent. Sounds like a great way to spend a day in Summer 2010. So, if u have never been to a Corfest, I suggest you make your plans now...cause Joe and Corey get better and better each year, Corfest V is gonna rock more than its 4 shows before...I know it
